My Knitting Library
This sweater started out as something completely different from the finished product. It was originally going to be a deep v-necked princess waist tunic, however, I was not happy with how it was turning out. I completely ripped out the sweater and designed this basic tunic with a deep slit at the neckline and smaller ones at the hips and wrists. It has flared sleeves and a square neckline. The neckline was originally going to be curved, however, when I finished it, it did not look right with the straight edges and vents. All of the changes were well worth the time that it took to fix them. The yarn is actually a combination of 3 different strands that I combined for this unique and one-of-a-kind yarn. It consists of 1 strand of turquoise 100% mercerized cotton wrapped with a silver filament, 1 extremely thin strand of turquoise & teal silk/cotton blend wrapped with a black thread and 1 strand of light turquoise 100% cotton yarn. A bold ribbon edge added the final touch.
