My Knitting Library
Where do I even begin?!!! I bought one clump (not the proper term) of 50% wool/50% silk roving in cream and black from 'Cornerstone Yarns' in Richfield. I've been learning how to spin my own yarn and with a little encouragement spun the roving into thick-thin single ply yarn. Based on my calculations I probably spun about 170 - 200 yards from 4 ounces of fiber. It was enough for the scarf with a little left over.
The scarf is embellished with various black, white and pink ribbons (JoAnns) along with little glass Pink Flamingo beads (online purchase). It's certainly one-of-a-kind and was a birthday gift for my husband's aunt.
