Angora linen sweater b.jpg
I had a lot of white angora yarn, but not enough for an entire sweater.  I finally decided to create this sweater using the 100% angora for the bodice and 100% linen for the off-the-shoulder sleeves.  To give it some more panache, I added the knitted bobble clusters of grapes made out of the linen with angora leaves and vines.  It looks fabulous with a long black skirt and a strand of pearls. YARN:  2 strands of 100% cotton (green) and 1 strand of 80% alpaca/20% silk 'shimmer' from Knit Picks in variegated greens

This is an amazing pattern.  I love how this sweater is turning out.  Granted I have another front and 2 sleeves to knit but between the yarn being a lovely combination of texture and tones and the interesting pattern (that doesn't bore me to tears) I am really excited to finish this sweater.

I am knitting this for my sister-in-law's 40th birthday.  It will not be finished in time but she will get a photo of what is finished to date along with a little swatch of yarn.
