I had a lot of white angora yarn, but not enough for an entire sweater.  I finally decided to create this sweater using the 100% angora for the bodice and 100% linen for the off-the-shoulder sleeves.  To give it some more panache, I added the knitted bobble clusters of grapes made out of the linen with angora leaves and vines.  It looks fabulous with a long black skirt and a strand of pearls. I started knitting these 100% cotton lace panels shortly after we were married, with the intention of making a throw blanket.  Other projects interfered, and the panels were never finished. When we found out that I was pregnant with our first son, I decided to take the panels, piece them together by hand, and make an heirloom baby blanket. Each star panel is knit on 5 double-pointed, size 00 needles, starting from the center and working out.  I then hand-sewed the pieces together and knit the lace edge.  We used this blanket for both our sons when they were infants.
