This pillow was made as an end-of-the-year/retirement gift for my son's second grade teacher. She always commented on my knitted sweaters that I wore to the classroom and how her mom used to knit. I knew that she would appreciate the hours that went into creating this pillow.

The under fabric is blue denim to complement the blue and white porcelain beads. The panes are knitted of linen on size 00 needles. Each section takes 3 - 4 hours, so there are about 24 hours in knitting alone in this project. I spent another hour beading the tassels plus an hour sewing everything together.
